The benefits of membership are:
You are contributing to saving an endangered bird.
As a member you will receive two newsletters per year.
You will have free access to the bird hide.
The viewing hide will be open from March to the end of August from 10am till 5pm at weekends and bank holidays. In autumn and winter it will be open every Sunday.
Not only do you have the pleasure of Lapwing and other birds breeding but winter evenings are dramatic. Lapwing numbers last year peaked at 2500 with 900 Golden Plover. Many other waders also use this site. By prior arrangement Mr Grisedale will show you around the rest of the 250 acres, with its wealth of bird life (see list of birds at Cefngwyn).

We as a Trust would like to be in a financial position to take over the whole area as a bird reserve with unlimited access to our members.

Birdlife is huge – 2500 Lapwings in December 2004 and 900 Golden Plover. Rare passage migrants and an enormous number of small birds, besides wildfowl in impressive numbers (see list).

At the moment standard membership allows you to view the Lapwing field from the bird hide. For an extra £5 per adult and £2 for children over 7, will allow you access to the rest of the 250 acres by arrangement with Mr Grisedale. Spend as long as you like - a map is provided.
